Mathews, Myrtle M.
Brockport: March 19, 2013. Myrtle M. Mathews, 96, of Spencerport and a long-time area resident passed away Tuesday at Strong Memorial Hospital. Born March 18, 1917 she was the daughter of James and Nellie Martin. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School. Most of her life was lived in Brockport. She worked many years at the Bruce Insurance Agency. She was an avid horse-woman, traveled extensively and was known for her flower gardens. She was predeceased by her husband of thirty-five years, Clair Mathews.
Surviving are her sons James (Jancy), Thomas (Linda), grandchildren David Mathews (Ozden), Diana Adlowitz (Jason), Christopher Mathews, Becky Mathews and great-grandchildren Bailey Adlowitz, Audrey Mathews and John Mathews. Pursuant to her wishes there are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held this coming summer.
