Webster, Jean Catherine Swan
Hilton/Hamlin: January 30, 2013 at age 86. Jean was born Feb 9, 1926 to Eugene & Inis (Prittie) Swan in Natural Bridge, NY. Jean is pre decreased by her siblings; Wilhelmina (Mina) Webster, Gladys Hughson, Onis and Robert Swan. Her Son, Daniel E. Webster and Son-in-Law, Fred Gilman. Jean will be greatly missed by her children Alma Gilman of Holley, Robin (Duane) Schepler of Hilton, Catherine (William) Terwilliger of KY, and Sharlene (John) Sorg of Kent, and Daughter-in-Law Roxanne Webster of FL. Her grandchildren: Amy (Brandon) Harris of Texas, Danielle Steele of NC, Kelly (Scott) Daly of Hamlin, Adam (Tina) Schepler of Chili, Trisha (Robert) Anderson of MN, Sean (Blythe) Webster of FL, James Terwilliger of KY, Jason Sorg of Rochester, Megan Sorg and Devon Sorg of Kent. She’s survived by great-grandchildren: Ethan and Owen Harris, Peyton and Hunter Steele, Leah, Tyler and Jake Daly, Ashley and Greg Schepler, Hannah Anderson, Reyn Webster, and Lilah Loveland. Jean will be missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, who over the years experienced her very unique sense of humor, her opinions and her love of the color purple. Especially her niece, Gwynne VanOrden, who always included her: whether it was bingo, lunch, doctor visits or family gatherings. Jean spent her working years at Duffy Motts in Hamlin and later with The Brockport School District as a bus driver for all children special. A special thanks to her many caretakers and dedicated volunteers while at home and especially to those at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center & Mt. Carmel House, where words can’t begin to express our gratitude for the wonderful care Mom received in her final months. Thank you all.
Family and Friends may call on Monday, February 4 from 4-7 pm. at Fowler Funeral Home on West Ave, Brockport, NY with services directly following. On Sunday February 10, a celebration of life will be held at Kendall Lutheran Church at 1pm.
