Obituary of Veda M. Woodcook

Woodcook, Veda M. Kent: Died peacefully on Monday July 9, 2012 at the age of 94. Veda was predeceased by her husband Robert. She is survived by her sister Mildred Baker, son Ron (Joan), daughter Linda (Gary) Crawford, 5 grandchildren Matthew, Jaclyn, Kate (Dan) Stubblebine, Steven (Tiffany) Crawford and Erin (Justin) Crossett, 3 great-grandchildren Hailey, Lindsay, and Kelsey, her loving niece/special friend Carol Petronio as well as several nieces and nephews. Veda worked at GE in Brockport for 10 years and was a life-time member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall. Over the years Veda enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking, loved to fish, watching and feeding all kinds of birds and visiting with family and friends. She planned 3 trips across the USA with her husband Bob visiting almost every state. The family would like to send special thanks to the nursing staff on the second floor at Lakeside Beikirch Care Center and Hospice of Rochester for all the loving care given to Veda. Friends may call Thursday July 12th from 5:30 to 7 pm followed by a memorial service at 7 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave Brockport. Interment will be 11 am at the Kent Cemetery on Ford St. in Kent. Donations can be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 1769 Kendall Rd. PO Box 461, Kendall, NY 14476.
