I loved visiting with your Mom when I would go to the nursing home to visit Jane Hasbrouck. Your Mom went to school with my mother, Irene Merrill Armer and shared many memories with me about my mom. I also enjoyed taking her to the American Legion for lunch and our little parties at the nursing home. She was a wonderful person and shared many of my interests in animals and canning and sewing. My thoughts are with all of you.

I grew up with Paula and spent many a nights rest at the home in North Bergen. I have fond memories of my time there,mu friendship with Paula, and going to church with them. I since have become Lutheran too! May Mrs. Tidwell rest in peace in Jesus' arms now.

Mrs. Tidwell was my favorite sewing teacher and my mom to one of my good friends in school. Fun sleepovers at the house.

My heartfelt sympathies to Dorothy's family---I met Dorothy her first evening as a resident at LBCC and realized that she was one very special lady. She was blessed with a clear mind and she shared many memories of her nursing days during WWII. We bonded initially as nurses with educations from RGH nursing programs and shared many visits until I retired. Dorothy brought many home experiences to the Care Center--her Church quilting club came once a month and other residents were invited to join in or just sit and watch, tea parties with real teacips, table linen served by a volunteer from the activities dept. which led to monthly luncheons which included good conversation and many laughs. Dorothy was very particulatr when it came to bed-making and was making her own when she was able----once she moved to a semi-private she wanted her roommate's bed to be as well. She took great pride in teaching the aides how to miter the corners & make a neat bed. Dorothy was additionally blessed with a devoted, loving family--Paula & Bobbi were well known faces on 2nd floor--your Mom was so proud of all her children. She was animated when sharing stories about her grandchildren and so happy when bragging about her great-grandchildren. I know she is going to be missed by not only her family but also by her caretakers who all grew to love her. I personally want to thank all the family for the honor & privilege of sharing your Mom with me--we spent many hours talking, while I did evening care (including giving her a lost art--a backrub!!) or droppjng in just to visit----I will never forget her or her beautiful smile and will miss not seeing her when I visit 2nd floor. Love you my friend
