O'Connor, Mary Jane
Brockport: On Monday December 5, 2011 at the age of 91. She is survived by her nieces Sharyl (Joe) Buckpitt, Sharyn (Wayne) Dillon, nephews Michael (Sue) Burns, William Burns, cousins Stephen (Leslie Hannasey) Hogan, Dennis (Pat) Hogan, Nora (Tony Weiner) Lucas, Mary Connor, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Mary Jane taught for 30 years at the Brockport High School and was named teacher of the year in 1979. She was well known for her word carvings, traveling and especially for being a child advocate. Mary Jane will be missed by her family, many friends and former students.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Fowler Funeral Home Inc. 340 West Ave Brockport. Her funeral mass will be held Friday, 10 am at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to any charity that benefits children.
