My Sister, My Bonus Mom, My Friend.
From the very beginning ive learned how you took the reins when I was born You did the feeding, the cleanings, etc. my crib was even in your room. For several years I was with John and Marnie, (and then Christine was born) hahaha.
Marnie put my wedding shower together for me years ago and we have shopped, sometimes hours on the phone, and the advice she's given me will follow me forever. I love you so very much and will miss you even more.

Our mom's were sisters. Close as kids and spent summers at the 1000 Islands camping.

I remember Marnie was a close friend of my mother, Norma Gaden. She lived around the corner from us (Little Tree Lane) on Sunny Slope Drive in Hilton. I will never forget her sense of humor, especially jokes about my brother Dr. Jim Gaden’s Spider monkey. Fond memories of our neighborhood growing up 1970’s~ 1980’s. I’m thinking of her 3 children Christine, Lori and Lil John, they were young children when I lived in Hilton. Remembering her from my childhood brings back memories of Marnie being there for my mom when my young brother died of AIDS in 1991. She was a bright light too when we had to put the monkey down. Blessed Be

There are so many words and thoughts that come to mind when I think of my dear friend Marnie . First she was an inspiration to me in my own cancer journey — she never wanted to give up!!
We ended our late nite chats -/ lol some longer than 2 hours — always with Stay Strong and Love You — cardinals
The color orange - blueberry muffins
And lunches together and flowers always made us smile
She told me to be sure to tell the story
Of her grandmothers rug and how her cousin got blamed for the loose thread they tried unsuccessfully to fix
She and John never admitted it was a HOOK that pulled the thread loose but they let her cousin take the blame with a toy he got at Christmas — and that’s how the story stood for years
The love that she and John shared and the beautiful home and family they created is testimony to the wonderful woman of faith that I have been blessed
To know and To be able to rekindle a friendship that goes back to Hobart street in the 1960s
I actually had a small crush on John until of course Marnie came along and it was a love for them that lasted for a lifetime
And will continue now but from a different spot — because we all know Marnie and John can never really be separated and whenever the cardinal shows up she is showing she is with us
And watching over all of us who love her and she still loves all of us dearly ❤️

I met Marnie while a dear friend of mine shared a room with her while in rehab in Brockport. She had broken her shoulder, only later to find out she was Lori’s mom ❤️
