Barbara Northrup Hefke posted a condolence
Noone worked harder or longer and yet was so unassuming as my cousin. He deserved everything he earned and had way to short a time to enjoy it. I like to think he's in a better place and will be hooking up with my brother again. He was another who had his time here cut short. Their work ethics could set a wonderful example for today's youth. Hope they have tractors and trucks up THERE!!!

The sea still holds Jim's spirit & his love of being on the water.
Exultation is the going
of an inland soul to sea,
Past the houses-past the headlands-into deep eternity-
Bred as we, among the mountains, can the sailor understand-The divine intoxication of the first league out from land?

Sofie, Dad's favorite Maltese posted a condolence
My Dad was the best. He might tell you he didn't but I KNOW he loved me very much. I would jump up on the bed at night. If I was asleep in his spot, he would try to "sleep around me", so not to disturb me. I really loved my Dad. I miss him and his kind voice alot. Dad liked to dig holes in the yard, so I will dig some holes in the yard to honor him. Love, Sofie

I'll always remember Jim for the kindness and generosity he showed me. Many may remember the business side of Jim, but he'll always be the strong unassuming father figure that I will always be proud of.
I owe much of who I am today to you Jim. We'll all miss you, and I love you.
